MotoGP Qatar : Espargaro reste en tête

Dovizioso, Bautista, Pedrosa et Marquez complètent le top 5

Lorenzo toujours relégué à plus d'une seconde du leader

Leader surprise de la première journée d'essais à Losail en ouverture du Championnat du Monde MotoGP, Aleix Espargaro poursuit son bonhomme de chemin en restant l'homme le plus rapide de la catégorie reine au Qatar. S'il s'attendait à un retour des pilotes factory, l'Espagnol ne pensait sans doute pas conserver sa place de leader et c'est pourtant chose faite. Cette nouvelle prestation montre encore une fois le potentiel de la Yamaha Forward.

On poursuit dans l'inhabituel avec Andrea Dovizioso qui place la Ducati Desmosedici GP14 au deuxième rang juste devant la Honda RC213V d'Alvaro Bautista mais à plus de 3 dixièmes d'Espargaro. En revanche, les deux pilotes officiels Honda ont passé la seconde et recollent au top 5. Handicapé par sa blessure, Marc Marquez a notamment pu améliorer son chrono de la veille de plus de 1,2 secondes.

Globalement les écarts se sont véritablement réduits et devraient être encore plus serrés à l'issue de la troisième et dernière séance d'essais libres qui se tiendra ce soir. Ce sont désormais 8 pilotes qui pointent à moins d'une seconde d'Aleix Espargaro.
