Enea Bastianini remporte le Grand Prix Moto3 de San Marin à domicile, après son départ en pole position. L’Italien remporte ainsi sa première victoire chez lui sur le circuit de Misano devant Miguel Oliveira et Niccolò Antonelli.

Le jeune pilote compte déjà huit podiums mais n'était encore jamais monté sur la première marche depuis son arrivée en Grand Prix début 2014.

Parti en treizième position, Alexis Masbou a attaqué dès les premiers tours pour remonter de six places et terminer avec une belle septième place.

Jules Danilo a eu moins de chance avec une chute dans le cinquième tour. Trois pilotes sont ensuite contraints à l'abandon avec Efrén Vázquez, Remy Gardner et Tatsuki Suzuki.
